My Mission
My mission is sharing simple, affordable tips for active vacations that are fueled with nutritious food. Whether it’s for a week or a day trip, it’s absolutely possible to maintain your healthy lifestyle while traveling.
Vacations incorporating health and wellness can be enjoyed with a little advance planning and creativity. I hope sharing my experiences and fitness tips will inspire you to plan your own fun, energizing and healthy vacation.
We all know establishing and maintaining healthy habits is difficult, and the peer pressure and social expectations to throw your health to the wind on vacation is pretty intense. Knowing there are others who share the same lifestyle can be a great support structure and I want to build a community that embraces and promotes maintaining physical fitness and nutrition while traveling. I would love for you to join me on this journey!
My Story
Two of my passions are fitness and travel but my professional career path didn’t involve either of those. Like many, I was raised to believe the best path was to attend college and go to work for a corporation that could provide a steady income. So of course that’s what I did, and I’m still working full time in the corporate world.
To focus more on my passions, I started this blog as a means for being true to myself and also for promoting how it’s possible to remain fit and eat healthy while traveling. If I can do it, then anyone can!
I don’t travel 365 days a year so while home I search for great travel deals, follow the local sports teams (Go Red Sox!) or search for the perfect local craft beer. I stay active with strength training, biking, running, yoga and paddle boarding. You’ll also find me posting on Facebook, exploring Instagram and scouring Pinterest to find the latest and greatest healthy recipes.
